Newels are hand-carved from premium selected hardwood:
hard maple, cherry and white oak. Newel posts are carved in deep relief with
grapevine motif and are triple sanded, ready to accept stain or paint.
Bottom portion of this newel post is square and measures 5-3/8" x 5-3/8". Center part of
the newel post is turned and then had-carved with elegant grape design, deep
fluting and running grape leaf motif. The upper square portion of the newel
measures 5" x 5" and crown with masterfully carved newel finial.
