The designs on the poplar moldings are made from a specially formulated wooden
composite material. It is sculpted into a design on the molding. The material is the
same density are the poplar wood so it grabs stains and paint the same way the natural wood does.
If a part of the room has a weird bend that rigid wood molding would not be able to accommodate,
the flex molding is available and could be used in conjunction with the wood molding to accommodate
the pesky spot. The flex molding in a flexible molding with the same design and density as
the wood. After it is all stained they flow together, not looking different.

The installation of the wood molding is simple and easy.
When you first bring the wood molding home you must make sure that it is kept
in a dry place and away from exorbitant moisture to avoid warping of the wood. The
wood moldings should adjust to the climate of the surroundings before being installed
incase it shrinks or expands so that cracks and gaps may be
avoided in the finished look.
For maximum support, the wood moldings should be
nailed to the studs in the wall. In finishing, the holes from the nails should be caulked with compound
and then sanded to a clean finish.
Choose a stain or paint and after lightly sanding the
molding apply a thin coat. Multiple coats might be needed acquire the perfect look.
